These drawings were created by elementary school students in Pennsylvania and Georgia. The students learned about the different families of instruments and then were given the assignment of drawing pictures of new kinds of instruments. What follows is a sample of the 500 drawings that were created. The drawings from the Imaginary Instruments art project are now the cover artwork for The Orchid Pool's new 7" of the same name. Each of the 500 vinyl records is adorned with an original piece of Imaginary Instruments artwork.
